RBA members: Receive 10% discount towards Corporate Emergency Access System card purchases
Is your business prepared for a crisis? Recent events have brought to light the unpredictability of the world we live in. Be it natural or manmade, emergencies that cause business interruption do happen. Planning to effectively cope with disasters is too often overlooked by many businesses.
On March 8th, Rockland County launched a public-private initiative known as the Corporate Emergency Access System (CEAS) to help county businesses address this very issue. CEAS is a regional emergency preparedness initiative that seeks to preserve the economic viability of the region by improving private sector business resiliency in the face of a disaster or serious emergency.
The CEAS initiative is an emergency access control program that gives key employees access to area roads and/or restricted areas during emergency situations, before the general public is allowed to return. This is accomplished using a special identification card, recognized by local law enforcement officials. CEAS cards are fee based and issued by the Business Network of Emergency Resources (BNET) through a participating employer. Employers then assign the cards to select employees. The card becomes a valid access instrument once the program is activated by a chief elected official following an emergency event.
Business Network of Emergency Resources (BNET) has partnered with the Rockland Business Association to create an incentive to take advantage of this important program. RBA member companies enrolling in CEAS, who use the promotion code “RBA”, will receive a 10% discount towards their CEAS card purchases.
Businesses of any size are encouraged to take advantage of this valuable program as other businesses in New York City, Nassau and Suffolk Counties, Buffalo and Erie County have already. CEAS will give you and your company peace of mind knowing you’ll be able to preserve your business in a time of crisis.
